The List for Tuesday, September 20th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Remember when you were a kid and you tripped and fell, and jumped right back up as if nothing happened?  Me too.  Here’s a country star version of that. Tim McGraw lost his balance and fell OFF the stage at his show in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday.  He was okay . . . and decided to turn the whole thing into a meet and greet with the crowd. He walked along BEHIND the barricade stopping several times to shake hands, give high-fives, and greet people.

Darius Rucker has a new song out next week on the 30th with “America’s Got Talent” finalist Chapel Hart.  It’s called “Ol’ Church Hymn”, and it features the ladies on the chorus.  There was a preview of how well they work together last week when they performed a cover of “Something to Talk About” on the “AGT” finale.

“American Idol” trio Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson are putting the band back together — at least for today TMZ reports, all in the name of supporting Kelly Clarkson and her new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The show’s OG judges joined the show’s very first winner, Monday, during the walk of fame ceremony … and it’s giving major blast from the past vibes. Of course, she’s since become a well-decorated pop star and an Emmy-Award-winning talk show host … and now 20 years later she received her Hollywood star with her judges by her side.

Bailey Zimmerman tells Billboard magazine that he’s living his dream. After working in the meat packing industry and pipeline construction. Finally being able to live his dream and thanks his fans for all the love.  Bailey’s new EP  ‘Leave the Lights On’ is set for release October 14th.

Mitchell Tenpenny’s song ‘Truth About You’ is topping the Charts!! How does he feel about it? Well, it’s obvious … “I mean, obviously it feels amazing. It’s been, it’s been quite a while since we’ve had one. So, to reach the top was such a special song and one of my favorite songs ever, is obviously super special and important to me. I’m just glad that you know, that this song worked and that people enjoyed the song and use this song for their own lives. And that means more to me than anything. So I’m just I don’t know, I’m kind of over the moon right now.“

And lastly, Snoop Dogg has launched his own sparkling wine called Snoop Cali Gold. Each bottle contains a QR code that allows drinkers to scan it and then watch a Snoop Dogg concert online. The wine has hints of citrus, green apple and nuts.

The List for Wednesday, February 11th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs tells Southern Living he is a simple Southern comfort food guy. Barbecue, mac and cheese, cornbread, and he is happy. No truffle foam. No tiny portions on giant plates. So next time he swings through KIX Country, forget the autograph. Hand that man a brisket and watch the magic happen.

Rumors say Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have allegedly made relationship resolutions to avoid drifting apart. Sources claim they are being more intentional with work, church, health, and actual date nights. Less coasting, more communicating. A very deliberate reset, according to insiders. Nothing says romance like a scheduled calendar invite.

-----

Riley Green admits he has never celebrated Valentine’s Day with a girlfriend. He calls himself a procrastinator and jokes that Christmas gifts get wrapped in newspaper. Romantic. Truly. He says a Valentine’s date would likely involve last-minute grocery store flowers. Sir, the bar is already low. Please step over it.

-----

Post Malone hit the stage at a Bud Light Super Bowl show and found out beers were $14. He called it unacceptable and tried dropping the price to $7, then $5, even joked about $3 for Cowboys fans. Spoiler alert. The bartenders kept charging full price. The crowd still had fun. But we can all agree, fourteen dollars for a beer is emotional damage.

Catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
