The List for Wednesday, September 14th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Today we learn something new about Mitchell Tenpenny.  He tells Billboard magazine that he used to steal his sister’s pants to go to metal shows. Saying he grew up on country music but also loved metal and rock as well. Back then they didn’t have skinny jeans unless you bought like Diesels and he couldn’t afford them, so he had to go steal his sister’s or aunt’s jeans to look cool.”…”Mom! Mitch stole my jeans again!!”

Buzz still surrounding Tom Brady as to why he mysteriously went missing for a couple weeks from the Buccaneers…he says he did not tape an episode of ”The Masked Singer”.NY Post quotes him as saying,  I wasn’t masked and I’m not a singer. I’m basically good at one thing, which is throwing passes. Other than that, I’m basically worthless.” And yes his wife is still mad at him for not retiring…

Darius Rucker will be joining Chapel Hart tonight on the season finale of “America’s Got Talent”.  Jon Pardi will also appear, along with legendary actor Henry Winkler, and former “AGT” winnerShin Lim.  And if you haven’t heard, Chapel Hart will make their Opry debut on Saturday.

Yesterday we reported that King Charles would let Prince Harry and Meghan back into the fold as long as Harry did certain things…like apologize to Kate and William and not publish his book…well, the Daily Beast reports today that Harry HAS to publish the book for financial reasons there’s no going back at this point.  In fact Harry is pushing to have this book published in November..the time bomb is ticking….

Ralph Macchio tells Comicbook.com that more Karate Kid and Cobra Kai spin-offs are on the way. Is there a Miyagi origin story? Is there a Cobra Kai prequel before The Karate Kid? Is there spin-offs with some of the young cast of these characters? Who knows? But we’re not done as long as we’re given the opportunity to really bring it in.  The new season of ”Cobra Kai” is streaming now on Netflix.

It looks like Ashley McBryde and Brothers Osborne will be releasing a song, or something, on September 30th.  They both posted the same clip on social media of a young girl “playing” the accordion.  Behind her is the word Lindeville” spelled out in red letters . . . and both captions read 9:30.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Tuesday, March 31st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Taylor Swift has officially entered her glittery legal era again. A Las Vegas performer says Taylor’s use of “The Life Of A Showgirl” is stomping all over her own brand, “Confessions of a Showgirl.” She’s suing for trademark infringement, wants damages, and an injunction too.

Only Kid Rock could turn a poolside salute into a military investigation. The Army says two Blackhawk helicopters near his Tennessee mansion were just on a Nashville training route, but now they’re checking into why they hovered there. Kid says nobody’s getting in trouble and called it pretty neat. Nothing says casual Tuesday like cannonballs, patriotism, and two black helicopters hovering near your house…

-----

Riley Green is stacking side quests like a pro. He’s making his TV debut on Marshals in mid-April. And because sleep is for other people, he’s also reportedly opening a second Duck Blind bar in Gatlinburg. At this point Riley’s building a country music cinematic universe.

-----

Thomas Rhett says one of his favorite parts of touring is trying wild new foods on the road, which sounds adventurous and expensive. Meanwhile Dylan Scott keeps it a little more backyard chaos at home, admitting he’ll wander into the kitchen at midnight and cook a full meal like it’s noon. His wife wakes up confused; he’s making dinner round two. That’s not a snack, that’s a second shift.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
