The List for Friday, September 2nd 2022

Welcome to The List,

Earlier this week, Mickey Dolenz asked the FBI to release any files it has on the Monkees, which seems a little weird.  But the FBI has had an eye on tons of celebrities over the years, for various reasons…John Denver, Marilyn Monroe, Whitney Houston even Princes Diana…

Jelly Roll is belly floppin’ into country music…HIS words!! He tells NewsUnzip.com “I’m always gonna give you real music. It’s gonna be for real people that have been through real things. This isn’t just a tap of the toe — I’m fixing to cannonball into country music. I’m coming in belly flopping.” Well you GO! Mr….ah…Roll?

Sources say Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have been fighting over Tom’s decision to play again this season.  According to the “New York Post”, the two were fighting pretty hard about it, to the point where Gisele left the family home in Tampa and jetted to Costa Rica. Will the split be permanent?  A so-called “source” says this isn’t the first time they’ve had this argument, but they always make up…nothing says “I’m MAD at you” like a trip to Costa Rica….

How serious is Leonardo DiCaprio about the planet when it comes to carbon emissions?  So, serious that The NY Post reports he took a private flight to New York just to party at an exclusive nightclub called Ned NoMad. He was seen chatting up several 21 and 23 year old women.

Entertainment Tonight says Florida Georgia Line recently played their final show together at the Minnesota State Fair. Tyler Hubbard told the crowd, “You’ve enabled us to chase this crazy dream of writing songs and playing shows and hoping someone will show up to listen, so thank you guys. After their last song he and Brian Kelley hugged then exited on opposite ends of the stage.

Miranda Lambert shared photos of her weekend with 12 girlfriends at her favorite place on earth:  Gruene, Texas.  She said it was filled with queso, margaritas, the convenience store Buc-ee’s, fried pickles, and river floats.

The List for Friday, February 13th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Brantley Gilbert sang “Dirt Road Anthem” at the Turning Point USA halftime show, and Zach Bryan took it personally. So Zach dropped a parody called “Chili on a Hot Dog,” basically roasting the lyrics and celebrating double-fisted chili dogs like it’s a county fair championship. Brantley fired back by grabbing two foot-long chili dogs on stage and acting it out. Jason Aldean chimed in with, “Best song I’ve heard from that guy.” Nothing says country unity like processed meat.

Thomas Rhett admitted on a podcast he’s losing hearing in one ear at 35 and had to get hearing aids. Years of loud concerts… plus four kids and a fifth on the way. He wore them for a week and asked his wife, “Is this what you hear all day?” She basically said, welcome to marriage. Turns out the loudest tour of his life is at home.

-----

There’s a new indie horror movie called ‘The House Was Not Hungry Then’, told entirely from the haunted house’s perspective. No close-ups. No dramatic reaction shots. Just the house silently watching a woman search for her missing father. It hits video on demand February 13th. So now even the drywall is judging you.

-----

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer says he’s working on Top Gun 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 6. He told Screen Rant it’s basically a horse race. Right now Top Gun is barely ahead, waiting on a script. So Maverick might fly again… or Jack Sparrow might stumble back in. Hollywood is saying…. originality is overrated.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
