The List for Monday, August 22nd 2022

Welcome to The List,

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez had a proper wedding at Ben’s estate in Georgia on Saturday.  They didn’t just throw a party to celebrate they got married all over again.  J-Lo wore a full-on wedding gown, train and all this time.  All their kids were there, along with celebrity guests including Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel, Kevin Smith, and Jason Mewes.

Will Smith posted a video where he and his son Trey discover a tarantula in their home.  Will filmed the spider while standing on a chair, telling Trey to get rid of it because, quote, “you’re young and strong, you can handle the bite.” Eventually, they teamed up.  Trey put a glass bowl on top of the spider, and Will slipped a piece of paper under it… and like the manly men they are….hightailed it to a Holiday Inn…don’t really blame them….

Craig Morgan received the wrong merchandise shipment for his shows last week.  He ended up with Adele’s CDs,  but sold them at his booth anyway.  Craig thinks maybe the gods are saying they should do a duet.

The milestones keep rolling in! After 13 weeks on the big screen, Top Gun: Maverick has collected $683 million in North America, enough to overtake Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War” ($678 million) as the sixth-highest grossing movie in domestic box office history. Top Gun: Maverick will be available on streaming services August 23rd and out on DVD November 1st.

Blake Shelton has new priorities in life…He tells Entertainment Tonight that Gwen Stefani, and not his career, is it. Saying ”Look, I love music and I love The Voice. I love all the cool things I get to do with my job, but those things all take a backseat now to Gwen and the kids and it’s just a new phase of my life.” Thankfully it doesn’t include another mullet….

Paramount Pictures is developing a ”Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” spin-off.  “Sam and Victor’s Day Off” is about the two valets that took Cameron’s father’s red Ferrari for a joy ride in Chicago.  The creators of ”Cobra Kai” are developing this film

The List for Tuesday, December 16th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Sad news from the soap world. General Hospital icon Anthony Geary has passed away at age 78 due to complications from surgery in Amsterdam. Fans knew him forever as Luke Spencer, one of the most legendary characters daytime TV has ever seen. His longtime on-screen partner Genie Francis said, “No star burned brighter than Tony Geary,” adding that working with him was always unpredictable and exciting. A true original, and a massive loss for television history.

Radar Online says Mariah Carey is allegedly stressed that her Christmas anthem All I Want For Christmas Is You might not dominate the charts this year. Apparently Gen Z is flirting with other holiday jams. An insider says this song is basically Mariah’s financial Super Bowl. If it underperforms, the brand wobbles. Somewhere, Mariah is warming up her whistle register and threatening December itself.

-----

Riley Green had a moment onstage when a fan tossed leopard-print granny panties at him mid-show. He kept singing like a pro while the internet absolutely did not. His tour crew has now started collecting bras, panties, and even hair extensions thrown on stage. Riley said they were going to donate the bras once he learned how expensive they are. Country concerts really are built different.

-----

Blake Shelton told People magazine that Gwen Stefani is the head chef at home, especially when it comes to Italian food. Blake says her lasagna takes all day to make, but he’d eat it for the rest of his life. Somewhere, an Oklahoma grill is quietly weeping, but love is love. And apparently love tastes like lasagna.

Birdie 12/16/2025

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK IS BIRDIE!!

Birdie is a sweet and resilient girl with a gentle soul and an inspiring story of strength. She was found at the Collison’s golf course, where it became clear she had recently given birth. Her kittens were safely found and brought in as well, and Birdie lovingly cared for them until they were old enough to be weaned.

When Birdie arrived, her walk seemed a bit off, she still walks with a bit of a wobble, likely due to lingering nerve issues, but she gets around just fine and continues to improve. She doesn’t require any ongoing medication or special care and lives comfortably just as she is.

Birdie is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV tested. She’s ready for her forever home — one where she can finally relax, be pampered, and enjoy life as the cherished companion she was always meant to be. She’s very affectionate, enjoys a calm environment, and while she can coexist with some other cats, she’d be perfectly content as your one and only.

If you're looking for a loving, low-maintenance cat with a big heart and a lot of love to give, Birdie is ready to meet you.
