The List for Thursday, July 14th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Justin Moore talks about how he lived his hit song ‘With A Woman You Love’ … “I remember when my wife and I first started datin’ 20 years ago, I would claim to my buddies that I would never do this, I’d never do that. I’d never hold her purse at the mall, I’d never have a little dog sleepin’ in bed with me – all those types of things. And clearly I was wrong, because I’ve done all of the above and much more.” Adding…When you’re with the person you wanna spend the rest of your life with, you’ll go above and beyond, even if it’s stuff that your buddies might make fun of you for down the road. It’s all worth it.”

The Wrap says “Top Gun: Maverick” has passed ”Titanic” as Paramount Pictures’ top grossing domestic release. ‘Maverick’ has earned $601 million. ‘Titanic’ earned $600 million. ‘Maverick’ has raked in $1.19 billion worldwide since being released. We asked Mickey Rourke for comment…apparently he’s looking over his next movie script for ‘Double Team 2’ because he never got back to us.

Tim McGraw remembers his first car.  Saying he used gold thumbtacks to keep the head liner up, he got his first ticket in it…He really loved it, it was a gift from his grandparents who didn’t have much but they had that car and it meant a lot to them that gave it to him, and it meant a lot for him to have it.  I wonder if he eventually sold it for 7500 OBO…

The NY Post says a Virginia judge has denied Amber Heard’s request for a new trial. Johnny Depp won their defamation trial and a $10 million-dollar judgment against her. Amber wanted a new trial because she believes one of the jurors was tainted and should not have been seated for the case.

The List for Thursday, February 12th 2026

Welcome to The List,

We are saddened to report that James Van Der Beek has passed away at the age of 48 after battling stage 3 colorectal cancer. His family confirmed the news on social media, sharing that he had been fighting the disease since August 2023. Van Der Beek became a household name as Dawson Leery on Dawson's Creek, a show that defined a generation of television. He leaves behind his wife and six children. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans.

Players on the winning Super Bowl team get $178,000 from the NFL. But Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold could reportedly lose money because of California’s “jock tax.” Out-of-state players get taxed based on duty days spent in the state. With his massive contract and bonuses, estimates say he could owe between $200,000 and $250,000. Win the ring, lose to taxes. Classic.

-----

Luke Combs just revealed the full 22-song tracklist for his new album The Way I Am. It includes a duet with Alison Krauss. And a song written by Cody Johnson. Twenty-two songs is not an album. That is a weekend.

-----

Kelly Clarkson is reportedly ending her talk show and says she has no regrets. Sources say it is about quality of life, not money. She is excited, but sad to leave staff she considers family. Sometimes success is not about doing more. It is about breathing again.
