The List for Wednesday, May 25th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Time Magazine is out with their top 100 most influential people of 2022 But, Keanu Reeves is the “World’s Nicest Man” at least that’s what his Matrix co-star Carrie-Anne Moss writes “In this often unkind and shallow world, my friend Keanu gives others hope. The actions of this handsome, talented, successful, and fiercely committed actor have become a reprieve from the constant disappointment we have for those who get put on a pedestal.”

Blake Shelton got a phone call from Jimmie Johnson, it looks like Jimmie wants Blake to help design his Indy 500 Helmet “He goes, I want you to design my helmet.  Your punkin me right now, ok I get it. First of all, what an honor  especially with the American Legion involved and it’s his first Indy 500.  There’s so much that this helmet represents to me and Jimmie Johnson’s carrier.” Blakes father and brother both served in the military.  The helmet will pay tribute to the  American Legion and military.  The Indianapolis 500 airs on ABC on Sunday.

Ewan McGregor is back as Obi-Wan Kenobi!!  But it was hard keeping the secret.  “They want to keep everything a secret, The longer that can keep until they announce it the better I guess for them.  For a long time people were asking if I would play Obi-Wan again, I had to go ‘well you know if Disney wanted to do something, I’d be happy to do it and it was years of that.” Obi-Wan Kenobi’ premieres on Disney + on Friday.

 —–

Justin Moore has great respect for the men and women who serve “The thing that always kind of gets me is, no matter whether it be in a meet and greet or at the supermarket or whatever, when people come up to me who have served or currently serve, they always come up and thank me for our music. And I’m just kind of taken aback because I’m going, ‘No, no, no, no, we don’t do anything. You guys are the ones who should be thanked.’ Anytime we have the opportunity, we try to wave the flag for those men and women.”

Talk about buyers remorse….Carrie Underwood tells Glamour magazine that she once purchased a sweatshirt, which she ended up only wearing twice Saying “My first stupid purchase was an accident. I was in Paris and went into one of those big, name-brand, fancy-schmancy designers, and I picked up a sweatshirt. But when I went to check out, that sucker was $2,000.”…OUCH!

Samuel L Jackson and Chris Pratt are going to star in the new animated Garfield movie. Jackson will play Pratt’s father. Pratt is playing Garfield.  The Hollywood Reporter says “Top Gun: Maverick” is expected to make over $100 million this weekend during its opening weekend

The List for Wednesday, April 1st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Meghan Markle allegedly thought she could jump the royal line. A new book claims she believed she should be queen next. Said she was smarter, better, and worked harder than Kate. That’s not confidence, that’s skipping the entire family tree.

-----

Two Blackhawk helicopters hovering over Kid Rock’s house raised eyebrows fast. Army pilots got suspended while the investigation played out. Then the Defense Secretary stepped in and shut it down. Suspensions lifted, no punishment, case closed just like that.

-----

Keith Urban might be ready to say a little more. A report claims he felt iced out of Nicole Kidman’s interview. She talked family and life but didn’t mention him once. Now there’s talk he could finally tell his side. Nothing says romance like a possible press tour response.

-----

And if you saw Jason Aldean storm off Colbert… relax. That viral story is completely made up from top to bottom. Wrong show name, bad details, zero credible sources behind it. The internet really said “let’s just create chaos today.” Moral of the story, not everything trending is actually true…I know…surprise right??

You can catch The List, weekdays afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
