The List for Monday, April 11th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Kelsea Ballerini is co-hosting the CMT Awards tonight…she says she isn’t to worried about messing up the hosting…but there IS one things she worries about…“If I mess up reading a prompter, that’s not what I’m great at so that’s ok.  So, I feel less pressure with the talking part, it’s the singing part I’m like if I mess THAT up I’m firing myself!” That could be a little upsetting…The 2022 CMT Awards air tonight on CBS.

The Will Smith Jada Pinkett Smith drama continues as a clip from a past episode of Jada’s ‘Red Table Talk’ internet show has surfaces were Jada confesses she really didn’t want to get married. “When really I just wanted it to be the two of us on a mountain, cause this is serious business.  The wedding was horrible. ”That may answer a lot of questions…like Will being stressed, Jada’s boyfriend etc…

Speaking of the CMT Awards…Kane Brown has four nominations and is the most nominated artist this year. “Feels awesome to be nominated the most nominated artist at CMT’s. I love it for my fans as well because they always have my back and just feels good you know especially to share it with all those artists that we’re going up against so thank you guys.” The CMT Awards are entirely fan-voted.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged again, and this time I just KNOW they’re gonna make it.  Jennifer teased a “major announcement” Saturday on Instagram, pointing fans to her online newsletter, OnTheJLo.com . . . where she posted a video of herself wearing her new engagement ring. It has a green stone with a silver band worth $10 MILLION.  Flowers are so overrated,  They have yet to set a date, but are considering March of 2024 for the divorce.

—–

Congratulations Miranda Lambert and Elle King’s their song Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” has reached Number One on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.  That’s the first solo female duet to top that chart since Reba McEntire and Linda Davis did it in 1993 with Does He Love You”.

—–

Jussie Smollett released a song proclaiming his innocence because that’s convincing.  It’s available on LIE-Tunes.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, July 3rd 2025

Welcome to The List,

The Hollywood Walk of Fame just announced its Class of 2026—and it’s STACKED: Miley Cyrus, Shaq, Demi Moore, Timothée Chalamet, Stanley Tucci, and Gabriel Iglesias. That sidewalk's about to be shinier than Shaq’s head and smell like Gabriel’s churros.

-----

Megan Moroney just dropped a sultry little cover of Toby Keith’s “Who’s Your Daddy?” for Apple Music’s Nashville Sessions. A whole playlist of Toby tributes—just in time to soundtrack your fireworks, flag cakes,

-----

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom allegedly split because watching each other’s careers fizzle out was too painful. He wants a McConaughey-style comeback, and she’s exhausted from “American Idol.” Basically, it’s a Hollywood version of “Who forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer?”

-----

Post Malone just opened a massive honky-tonk in Nashville called “Posty’s.” It's got six bars, three stages, and a rooftop patio—plus bolted-down chairs, just in case Morgan Wallen swings by. If you spill a drink there, odds are it’s on purpose.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Wednesday, July 2nd 2025

Welcome to The List,

Well THAT escalated quickly. Keith Urban was doing an Aussie radio interview when someone asked how he feels about Nicole Kidman locking lips with Zac Efron onscreen. Next thing you know—click!—the Zoom call vanishes like my willpower near pizza. The hosts say Keith’s team bailed. But a source says “Keith didn’t hang up! It was a technical issue” Uh-huh. And I only watch Nicole’s movies for the plot.

-----

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton might trade Hollywood for hay bales! Word is, they're finally serious about having a baby and raising it in Oklahoma, far away from TMZ and overpriced oat milk. Blake’s craving a little one, Gwen’s slowing down, and apparently a diaper bag might be in her future.

-----

Drama in the Diddy courtroom: the jury has reached a partial verdict after 12 hours, locking in four outta five charges—sex trafficking and transporting for prostitution. But that last racketeering count? Still marinating in the baby oil. Meanwhile, Diddy got emotional, whispered “love you” to his mom, and gave her the ol’ chest thump. Somewhere, someone’s making this into a Lifetime movie.

-----

J.Lo is sweating harder than me during allergy season. Rumor is Ben Affleck might air everything on a podcast with Matt Damon—including their messy breakup. Sources say Ben’s tired of false stories and may finally come out.  J.Lo’s nightmare? A “warts and all” tell-all. Honestly, if it’s called Good Will Dumping, I’m subscribing…immediately.
