The List for Friday, April 1st 2022

Welcome to The List,

What do YOU think of Eric Church cancelling a concert to watch the Final Four this Saturday….Jason Aldean is weighing in…“I feel like people buying a ticket to come see your show, you have to hold up, you know you’re in the deal on that. I don’t think I would feel good if I did that so I don’t think I could pull it off.” Adding he understands somewhat were he’s coming from he just doesn’t think he could do it. What do YOU think of all this?  Go to our Facebook Fan Page at Iowa’s Best Country KIX 101.1 and leave a comment.  Look for the ‘Cancelled Show’ pic and tell us what you think?

Thomas Rhett is nominated for a Grammy for his song, ‘Country Again’. He says winning a Grammy for this song would be really special. “I don’t know, maybe the stars have aligned on this one.  But, this one in particular would be very special to win.” This was a song he wrote during the middle of the pandemic and never thought it would see the light of day…Thomas Rhett’s new album ‘Where We Started’ comes out today

Madame Tussauds in Orlando has added a Dwayne ”The Rock” Johnson wax statue to its collection. It shows him scaling a building while wearing a white T-shirt and cargo pants.

One last thing about the Eric Church Cancellation…Bud Light will be buying a round of beer at the River Walk in San Antonio on Saturday at 8:00 P.M.  That’s the exact day and time the canceled Eric Church concert was supposed to happen.

The guy who produced the Oscars says the LAPD was ready to arrest Will for battery, and laid out various options to Chris, but he kept telling them no. TMZ is reporting that 66 viewers felt compelled to fire off emails to the FCC regarding the violence they  witnessed on the Oscars…I guess some parents had some uncomfortable conversations with children that were watching.

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, March 26th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Hookup shows come and go. Paychecks apparently stay forever. Taylor Frankie Paul will still get her full Bachelorette salary. TMZ says the payday lands in the low to mid six figures. The season got shelved after that viral domestic violence video resurfaced. Reality TV motto. Love fades. Direct deposit survives.

-----

Some guys jog. Some guys apparently brawl with neighbors. “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson reportedly got into a physical altercation. Sources say intense behavior is kind of his brand at this point. He doesn’t think he crossed a line. Neither does the authorities,

-----

Country star meets horsepower. This feels aggressively on brand. Darius Rucker is now a NASCAR Cup Series team owner. He invested in Legacy Motor Club which competes at the top level. From singing about wagons to literally owning fast cars. That is what we call career acceleration.

-----

If you like free music. Nashville just planned your summer. CMA Fest announced around 150 artists for daytime stages. Names include Ernest, Melissa Etheridge, Tucker Wetmore, more. The free shows run June fourth through seventh downtown. Wallet stays full. Voice will absolutely not.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
