The List for Monday, March 21st 2022

Welcome to The List,

They say you are your OWN worst critic.   Cody Johnson is no different…. He says he can’t stand to listen to his songs after he’s recorded them “When I hear, because I play live so much. When I hear my recordings, they don’t always come back the way I want them.  I’m always ‘Ah I don’t like THIS..or we’ve changed it on stage.” He says that you poor yourself and time into the studio for so long, by the time it goes out to everyone he doesn’t want to listen to music for a month or two.

You can tell Luke Combs is married…He tells CMT that he’s going to miss having his wife around after she gives birth.  She’s usually at every show, and with the baby he thinks SOME things will change adding, It’ll be hard to walk offstage and not have her right there to tell me what I did wrong.”

—–

Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock, met in a very awkward way…”The ‘Lost City” actors met at their daughters preschool principal’s office.  Sandra tells ‘Female First’ It seams Everly and Laila were trying to “out due” each other…. and prayed it was the other’s child that caused the damage. “The Lost City” is in theaters Friday the 25th

—–

Maury Povich is planning to wrap it up and retire. He has been hosting his talk show for over 30 years. New episodes will continue to run through September. But Maury is 83 and ready for someone else to tell couple who the father is!!

—–

This never gets old.  After 17 years of guest appearances, JAMEY JOHNSON was finally invited to JOIN the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday.  He was invited by Bill Anderson, the same guy who brought him to the stage the very first time.   CHRIS YOUNG and MITCHELL TENPENNY recorded an acoustic version of “At the End of a Bar”.  You can check it out below

The number one movie at the box office for the THIRD week in a row would be “The Batman” with another $38-Million…followed by Uncharted and “X”

The List for Tuesday, March 31st 2026

Welcome to The List,

Taylor Swift has officially entered her glittery legal era again. A Las Vegas performer says Taylor’s use of “The Life Of A Showgirl” is stomping all over her own brand, “Confessions of a Showgirl.” She’s suing for trademark infringement, wants damages, and an injunction too.

Only Kid Rock could turn a poolside salute into a military investigation. The Army says two Blackhawk helicopters near his Tennessee mansion were just on a Nashville training route, but now they’re checking into why they hovered there. Kid says nobody’s getting in trouble and called it pretty neat. Nothing says casual Tuesday like cannonballs, patriotism, and two black helicopters hovering near your house…

-----

Riley Green is stacking side quests like a pro. He’s making his TV debut on Marshals in mid-April. And because sleep is for other people, he’s also reportedly opening a second Duck Blind bar in Gatlinburg. At this point Riley’s building a country music cinematic universe.

-----

Thomas Rhett says one of his favorite parts of touring is trying wild new foods on the road, which sounds adventurous and expensive. Meanwhile Dylan Scott keeps it a little more backyard chaos at home, admitting he’ll wander into the kitchen at midnight and cook a full meal like it’s noon. His wife wakes up confused; he’s making dinner round two. That’s not a snack, that’s a second shift.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
