The List for Wednesday, March 9th 2022

Welcome to The List,

Country Music entertainers see there jobs differently sometimes..bringing the party…making memories…but I think they would all agree with Miranda Lambert when she Sees Her Job As Helping People Forget About Their Issues And The Problems In The World … “People don’t want to think about it. That’s what entertainment is for. I think people come to concerts because they want to cut loose for two hours of their life and drink a beer and listen to music and just be out of the problems, because they have to deal with that seven days a week. And my job is to try to make people have fun and not think about that stuff.” Good point…

In case you were wonderinig…NFL.com says Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley are trying to repair their relationship AND he’s announced his return to the Packers on a four-year, $200 million deal. The extension makes him the highest-paid player in NFL history. $153 million is guaranteed. I’m not going to live this down at home….

—–

Arnold Schwarzenegger tells Entertainment Tonight that he, Danny DeVito and Tracy Morgan are going ahead with plans to make a sequel to “Twins”.  There was a small setback because the director Ivan Reitman had passed away. They were hoping for an October release, but for now they have to find a director.

—–

This may have slipped by the other night.  Miranda Lamberts’ Entertainer of the Year award made her a member of the ACM Triple Crown.  That’s when you’ve won New Artist of the Year, Female or Male Artist of the Year, and, of course, Entertainer of the Year.

Uproxx says Golden State Warriors fans went wild last night when Will Ferrell took the court before the game. He was dressed as his ‘’Semi-Pro’’ character Jackie Moon. Will was wearing a Flint Tropics uniform and an orange and white headband. He took shots with Klay Thompson and Steph Curry. Will received the loudest cheer of the night when he hit a half court shot

Did you love or hate the crazy outfits Brothers Osborne wore while performing “Skeletons” at the ACMs?  They wore white jumpsuits with randomly painted black lines.  Either way, blame John Osborne. For the meticulous work it took for him to make them:  saying, “We bought some coverall Dickies online.  I spent two days painting [them] in my front yard.”

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, March 26th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Hookup shows come and go. Paychecks apparently stay forever. Taylor Frankie Paul will still get her full Bachelorette salary. TMZ says the payday lands in the low to mid six figures. The season got shelved after that viral domestic violence video resurfaced. Reality TV motto. Love fades. Direct deposit survives.

-----

Some guys jog. Some guys apparently brawl with neighbors. “Reacher” star Alan Ritchson reportedly got into a physical altercation. Sources say intense behavior is kind of his brand at this point. He doesn’t think he crossed a line. Neither does the authorities,

-----

Country star meets horsepower. This feels aggressively on brand. Darius Rucker is now a NASCAR Cup Series team owner. He invested in Legacy Motor Club which competes at the top level. From singing about wagons to literally owning fast cars. That is what we call career acceleration.

-----

If you like free music. Nashville just planned your summer. CMA Fest announced around 150 artists for daytime stages. Names include Ernest, Melissa Etheridge, Tucker Wetmore, more. The free shows run June fourth through seventh downtown. Wallet stays full. Voice will absolutely not.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
