The List for Wednesday, February 23rd 2022

Welcome to The List,

Yesterday on The List, we reported The country artist’s Sam Hunt’s pregnant wife, Hannah Lee Fowler, filed for divorce…we have more information today. As it turns out they’re NOT splitting up – at least, not right now…because…well she withdrew her divorce complaint hours after she filed it on Friday PEOPLE confirmed late Tuesday night.  The news outlet noted that Fowler reportedly asked for the petition to be “voluntarily nonsuited without prejudice,” which allows her to file for divorce again in the future. Fowler wanted primary custody and child support, and requested “transitional alimony, rehabilitative alimony, and alimony in future,” according to the since-withdrawn filings.

Cody Johnson was asked even though he didn’t WRITE his hit ‘Till You Can’t’ was there one lyric or portion of the song that hit home for him that really made him want to do this song. “I think it was the whole message. I’ve lost a friend this year,  we had a plane almost crash. A private plane we were flying to a NASCAR event,  We’re not guaranteed the next minute. When you think about that, when you think about every day like that…it’s till YOU can’t.  It’s till YOU can’t get up and do those things, it’s not till THEY can’t. It’s seas the day!”

Channing Tatum is making “Magic Mike 3” and has a couple goals while doing it. “The first goal is I want to make the Super Bowl of stripper movies. Just to leave it all out there, I want to do it all so there never needs to be another stripper movie ever again.  Second I wanted a really strong equal female roll.” So it looks like Mike Lane is tapping back in…no release date has been announced yet but Magic Mike 3:The Last Dance will premiere exclusively on HBO Max.

We heard plenty of stories about how AARON RODGERS and SHAILENE WOODLEY had broken up.  But they were all based on anonymous “sources”, and we never heard anything official. Now a new Instagram post by Aaron is muddying the waters.  It’s all about gratitude . . . and it includes a picture of him snuggling with Shailene.  In the caption, he thanks several people, including her. So, like his future with the Packers It looks like THIS is going to be a mystery for a bit as well.

This year’s “Oscars” will present eight awards an hour before the live broadcast.  They will be recorded and edited into the live broadcast to allow for “more time and opportunity for audience entertainment and engagement.

Some fans filmed a one-minute remake of the movie “Alien”, using nothing but household items.  You can check it out below.

The List for Thursday, February 12th 2026

Welcome to The List,

We are saddened to report that James Van Der Beek has passed away at the age of 48 after battling stage 3 colorectal cancer. His family confirmed the news on social media, sharing that he had been fighting the disease since August 2023. Van Der Beek became a household name as Dawson Leery on Dawson's Creek, a show that defined a generation of television. He leaves behind his wife and six children. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans.

Players on the winning Super Bowl team get $178,000 from the NFL. But Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold could reportedly lose money because of California’s “jock tax.” Out-of-state players get taxed based on duty days spent in the state. With his massive contract and bonuses, estimates say he could owe between $200,000 and $250,000. Win the ring, lose to taxes. Classic.

-----

Luke Combs just revealed the full 22-song tracklist for his new album The Way I Am. It includes a duet with Alison Krauss. And a song written by Cody Johnson. Twenty-two songs is not an album. That is a weekend.

-----

Kelly Clarkson is reportedly ending her talk show and says she has no regrets. Sources say it is about quality of life, not money. She is excited, but sad to leave staff she considers family. Sometimes success is not about doing more. It is about breathing again.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
