For the longest time cowboy hats were a thing in country music.  Everyone from Tim McGraw to Garth Brooks…the “Hat acts” of the 90’s were huge…then hats went away for a while…now…2022 those hats are making a comeback…Dustin Lynch has a bunch of cowboy hats but how many does he know? “I have no idea how many cowboy hats I own, I opened a closet at my house and found 40 boxes of cowboy hats I didn’t know I had. So, we’re in the dozens…dozens and dozens of cowboy hats right now.” The one he wears on any given day depends on the mood he’s in.

Chris Stapleton Can’t Wait To Get Back To Touring In 2022..and he has a message for all of his fans, “Yeah, we’re comin’ and I hope you show up.  That’s my message and I can not wait to see you. It’s going to be awesome.” his ‘All-American Road Show Tour is set to hit the road again in support of his second and third studio albums “From A Room: Volume 1 and Volume 2 kicks off in Oklahoma February 18th.

Today the world mourns the loss of a Hollywood Icon.  Betty White just weeks before her 100th birthday.  She is in the Guinness book of world records for having the longest TV career by an entertainer for a female.  Her career stretched more than 79 years…our ‘Golden Girl’ will be missed…Betty White passed peacefully in her home in Brentwood December 31st…she was 99

If there was a movie about Elvira Mistress of the dark’s life, who would you want to play Elvira!!??  Well, Elvira wants Dolly Parton to play HER in a new movie about her life.  She says you have to have someone with the right “attributes”

And Nicolas Cage tells Variety Magazine he no longer wants to be known as an actor….He wants to be known as a “thespian” because it’s more like Shamanism…getting a little ahead of ourselves I think..I’ve seen his latest movies…

The big numbers at the box office over the holiday weekend goes to Spider-Man: No Way Home earning 52-Million dollars followed by Sing 2 and the King’s Man rounding out the top 3 raking in 4 and a half million dollars.

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK, PIEREE!

He is about a two year old tabby who came to the ARL as a stray. He came in with an injury to his hip, but thankfully it was the serious and has fully healed. That's when the ARL staff realized Pierre is a cuddy bug who loves to snuggle. They believe he would be good with other cats too. Tiger Woods is back in the headlines after flipping his Land Rover in Florida trying to pass a truck with a trailer. The vehicle ended up on its side, he crawled out like it was no big deal, and somehow nobody was hurt. He blew a 0.00 on a breathalyzer but refused a blood test and was charged with DUI and property damage. So yeah, that “no alcohol” part isn’t exactly calming anyone down.

Keith Urban is dealing with some awkward rumors linking him to younger Nashville singers, and apparently his daughters are not loving the headlines. Sources say it’s a bad look no matter what, because either he comes off like a womanizer or a guy striking out. Meanwhile, the women involved are flat-out denying everything.

Country legend Charlie Daniels is making a return in hologram form for America’s 250th birthday celebration. The show is set for Fort Campbell and will feature performances from Aaron Tippin and others, along with a digital version of Charlie headlining. His son says it’s a dream come true, which is sweet… but also a little “we’re living in the future now.”

Michael Jordan says he still dreams about making an NBA comeback… in his 60s. He told CBS that competitive fire never really leaves, and he’d love to pick up a basketball again at that level. Which is adorable, because most of us dream about getting off the couch without making a noise.
