The List for Thursday, November 18th 2021

Welcome to The List,

Have you ever thought if you could switch bodies with a celebrity for ONE DAY who would that be?  It’s an easy question for Dustin Lynch. “If I was The Rock for a day, it would be on his cheat day when he can eat anything he wants.  Watching this man eat that much sushi followed by this many cookies and some ice cream of course.  I think it would be a great feeling, and THEN just to lean back and feel how  big that wallet is in the back pocket.” I would say he DOES have a good point.

Brett Young tells People magazine that he is pushing to bring a Major League Baseball team to Nashville. Baseball was the biggest part of his life for the first 20-some-odd years of my life. And he says, “I would absolutely love bringing a team to Nashville that I could get behind and support and be a part of,”

Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins are officially a family of six! The couple welcomed their fourth child, daughter Lillie Carolina, on Monday, Nov. 15 who joins big sisters Willa Gray, 6, Ada James, 4, and Lennon Love, 21 months,

A second Simpsons movie is in the works. Simpsons producer Al Jean tells NME.com, “We’re cursed by high ratings. But we have an idea, it’s just that we’re waiting to see what the environment is. Do we want to do it as a streamer? In theatres? We’re in a wait-and-see mode. But there’s definitely the germ of something there.”

Paul Rudd The Sexiest Man Alive stars in the new ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ in theaters this weekend and talks about the first time he SAW Ghostbusters. “I was a kid when it came out, I loved the cast. I was a huge SCTV fan and Saturday Night Live fan I knew who everybody was. I went and thought wow, this is actually scarier than I was anticipating, It was really, really funny, it was a big event and I was knocked out by it.” “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” is in theaters this weekend

The List for Friday, February 13th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Brantley Gilbert sang “Dirt Road Anthem” at the Turning Point USA halftime show, and Zach Bryan took it personally. So Zach dropped a parody called “Chili on a Hot Dog,” basically roasting the lyrics and celebrating double-fisted chili dogs like it’s a county fair championship. Brantley fired back by grabbing two foot-long chili dogs on stage and acting it out. Jason Aldean chimed in with, “Best song I’ve heard from that guy.” Nothing says country unity like processed meat.

Thomas Rhett admitted on a podcast he’s losing hearing in one ear at 35 and had to get hearing aids. Years of loud concerts… plus four kids and a fifth on the way. He wore them for a week and asked his wife, “Is this what you hear all day?” She basically said, welcome to marriage. Turns out the loudest tour of his life is at home.

-----

There’s a new indie horror movie called ‘The House Was Not Hungry Then’, told entirely from the haunted house’s perspective. No close-ups. No dramatic reaction shots. Just the house silently watching a woman search for her missing father. It hits video on demand February 13th. So now even the drywall is judging you.

-----

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer says he’s working on Top Gun 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 6. He told Screen Rant it’s basically a horse race. Right now Top Gun is barely ahead, waiting on a script. So Maverick might fly again… or Jack Sparrow might stumble back in. Hollywood is saying…. originality is overrated.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
