The Des Moines Blaze amateur football team rallied past the Kansas City Bulldogs Saturday night at Valley Stadium 31-21 on a hot, muggy night. The Blaze was down 21-3 at one point in the second quarter and trailed 21-9 at the half. The team scored 28 straight points in storming back to victory as they are now 5-0 on the season, Kansas City slipped to 4-2 on the year. Blaze quarterback Demareo Darrah and alumnus of Des Moines East High School threw for four touchdown passes. The Blaze defense picked off five passes and also recorded a safety. Keevon Bernstine an alumnus of Des Moines Lincoln High School was the principal running back. Kevonte White of Grand View University caught a long touchdown pass from Darrah. The Blaze are coached by former Des Moines Lincoln Coach Tom Mihalovich in his first year at the helm.
