Marvel is BIG on origin stories for their superhero’s  on the big screen so,…HERE DAN gives us the origin story for Dan + Shay….

Dan: “We were at a party, at my house, and per usual, we were playing guitars, and passing guitars and singing covers. So Shay and I were hanging out that night, and I distinctly remember, I was like ‘This guy is pretty good at singing.’ And the next day we wrote a song, and that song got put on hold by a major artist that night, and we started writing more, and more songs. And we’re like, ‘This is going to work,’ and then somebody told us, ‘You guys should be a duo,’ and we’re like ‘Let’s do it.’”

Shay: “And here we are.”

And THEY will be at the Iowa State Fair Saturday August 21^st

And speaking of new music Carly Pearce is following up on her 2020 project 29 with an expansion into a full album, announcing this week that 29: Written in Stone will be released on Sept. 17. The 15-song project will include the seven songs from 29 as well as eight new tracks…..

Brooke Shields is still active at 56, looks great and youthfull..turns out the secret it…donuts…  “I like to do pilates, and then I like to go get donuts.  It’s a huge donut on a stick.”

The trailer for the new Venom movie is out.. “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”  It’s the sequel to the 2018 comic book film starring Tom Hardy, as Eddie Brock, One side of Eddie is a journalist who lives a normal life. But his other half is Venom who feeds on people. In the movie Eddie interviews a serial killer, Cletus Kasady, who is played by Woody Harrelson, who later turns into Carnage, also a predator.  I’m sure we’ll preview it in “At The Movies” closer to the release date which is September 24^th
