The List for Thursday, July 22nd 2021

Welcome to The List,

As Dan + Shay’s ‘Glad You Exist’ is climbing the charts Shay Mooney Says that song has a message that every person needs to hear “ it’s important to remember that we need to tell the people that we love that we love them and we’re glad they’re around. I think being away from your family and not getting to see the ones that you love was…we were reminded of that even more. So, this song has taken on a new meaning.” You can find ‘Glad You Exist’ on Dan and Shay’s fourth studio album ‘Good Things’ out now.

Blake and Gwen should be on their toes…Luke Bryan tells People magazine that he’s about to send out their wedding gifts only saying he’s getting a big box and he’s putting some embarrassing items in there.  They’ll be funny, and sarcastic and will have the Luke Bryan touch on it.

Hasbro’s G.I. Joe movies have a spin-off called ‘Snake Eyes:G.I. Joe Origins” and Star Henry Golding Talks About having a love for martial arts. “I’ve been watching martial arts films since I can remember. We’d watch Jackie Chan films, we loved Jet Lee stuff, all the old Hong Kong classics.  That’s kinda really inspired me and sort of fired my love for those action films.” “Snake Eyes:G.I.Joe Origins” is in theaters tomorrow.

Robin Williams’ family is continuing to celebrate his memory nearly seven years after his death. On what would have been the late actor’s 70th birthday on Wednesday, Williams’ son, Zak Williams, took to social media to pen an emotional tribute to his father, who died by suicide in August 2014, in honor of his birthday. It was a picture of Robin, and a simple caption that read “Today would be 70, missing you especially much today. Love you always evermore.”

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, February 6th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Starting off with some royal news, and surprise, it’s awkward again. Reports say things are allegedly tense between King Charles and Prince William. An insider claims there’s real anger on both sides, with William being described as controlled, strategic, and very aware that he’s the future king. Translation for the rest of us. Two strong personalities, one crown, zero compromise.

-----

The Super Bowl is fascinating because everyone watches it, but almost half of America claims they do not care who wins. A reported 47 percent of Americans have no opinion on the outcome. Among those who do care, more are pulling for the Seahawks than the Patriots. And me? I am rooting for a solid cheese dip and no commercials that make me cry.

-----

Luke Combs is sitting out the Madden Bowl concert ahead of the Super Bowl. Why? Because his wife is expecting their third child. Luke posted that family always comes first and apologized for missing the show. That is called priorities. And honestly, Dad mode beats Super Bowl mode every time.

-----

Jelly Roll is giving one of his Grammy Awards to the juvenile detention center where he once spent time. His wife Bunnie Xo says he wants to give the kids a little inspiration. That is not a publicity stunt. That is a full-circle moment. And possibly the most meaningful Grammy flex ever.

Catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
