The List for Friday, July 16th 2021

Welcome to The List,

The clock is ticking for many of our favorite touring artists…Garth Brooks says there is a feeling of joy in the stadiums now that live shows are back. “I don’t think it has anything to do with Garth Brooks, I think it had something to do with the fact that we’re all SUPPOSE to be together. We’re all suppose to SING together, at the top of our lungs and man did they ever. It was a joy to be back.” He says his wife, Trisha Yearwood, is his ace in the hole for when he’s touring.

Luke Bryan is also talking about returning to the road… “There’s been so much anticipation that we’ve moved tour dates around and we’ve waited for this moment where we can all get back out on the road. but then when we stand in front of those crowds and we physically see the people out there having fun, nothing is more special than that.” Luke returns to touring tonight in Hartford

Emily Blunt talks about her new movie with “The Rock” Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ with Kelly And Ryan and Ryan asked the question. “Did Dwayne get seasick?  Dwayne go seasick, Dwayne should be sponsored by Dramamine I feel that should be his next venture.” She is hoping because she stars in a Disney movie to get a free Disney pass so she can take her daughters to the park. “Jungle Cruise” is in theaters and streaming on Disney+ on July 30th.

MovieWeb says Antonio Banderas is joining the cast of Indiana Jones 5. No word on what his role will be…He’ll probably be doing all the stunts for the 80 year old Harrison Ford…Digital Journal says a new dating site for Jeep owners has launched called Jeep N Date. ..because nothing says desperate…like building a dating app around the car you drive….They need one called broken down old rusty, flat tired, yard car for singles….

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
