The List for Tuesday, June 29th 2021

Welcome to The List,

What are YOUR 4th of July plans…spend it with family? Maybe a cookout? Some of us are STILL going to work..like Luke Combs he’s got plans too … “So this fourth of July, I’m going to be headlining three sold-out shows at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama. It’s going to be our first round of shows back. Three nights sold out, second, third, fourth. So excited to see everybody. So that’s what I’ll be doing.” Just like so many other Country stars can’t wait to get back out on the road.

CMT says the Discovery Channel is going to feature Brad Paisley during Shark Week. Watch for it Tuesday, July 13th, a marine scientist will play Brad’s songs to see if they attract or repel sharks…I give it 50/50….

Congratulations to Dierks Bentley, he’s scored his 20th number 1 song!!!  Topping the charts this week with his latest effort “Gone”..Dierks thanking everyone on an Instagram video while on a hike in the mountains of Colorado.  Dierks returns to the road with his ‘Beers On Me Tour’ August 13th in Salt Lake City with special guest Riley Green and Parker McCollum.

One of the most iconic movies in Netflix’s catalog is leaving on Wednesday, June 30. The 1983 remake of Scarface starring Al Pacino as Tony Montana is about to get a bit harder to stream..  You can also find it on digital stores like Amazon Prime Video, iTunes or YouTube TV. You know you have a copy of it on DVD…if you DON’T you should…

We Got This Covered says Ryan Reynolds and John Cena are in talks to develop an original action comedy together. Collider magazine says The Rock is going to star in a new film for Amazon Prime called ”Red One”. The magazine claims the movie is an action adventure involving Santa Claus. I feel like I’ve seen those before…

You can catch The List, weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

Birdie 12/16/2025

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK IS BIRDIE!!

Birdie is a sweet and resilient girl with a gentle soul and an inspiring story of strength. She was found at the Collison’s golf course, where it became clear she had recently given birth. Her kittens were safely found and brought in as well, and Birdie lovingly cared for them until they were old enough to be weaned.

When Birdie arrived, her walk seemed a bit off, she still walks with a bit of a wobble, likely due to lingering nerve issues, but she gets around just fine and continues to improve. She doesn’t require any ongoing medication or special care and lives comfortably just as she is.

Birdie is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV tested. She’s ready for her forever home — one where she can finally relax, be pampered, and enjoy life as the cherished companion she was always meant to be. She’s very affectionate, enjoys a calm environment, and while she can coexist with some other cats, she’d be perfectly content as your one and only.

If you're looking for a loving, low-maintenance cat with a big heart and a lot of love to give, Birdie is ready to meet you.
