The List for Monday, April 5th 2021

Welcome to The List,

Kelsea Ballerini was filling in for Kelly on “The Voice” while she was sick. Behind the scenes it was a pretty quick turn around “Kelly called me at 7pm Nashville time and they were shooting the next day at 1pm in LA. On the flight over she sent me all the blind auditions, everyone on her team what she loved what she was looking for.  So, as soon as I landed, you just downloaded all of your incredible knowledge.” Kelsea said it was like going back to college and cramming for an exam.

Carrie Underwood talks about her new gospel Album, ‘My Savior’ and how scary and hopeful it was in the making. “I feel like the entire time, that we were making the album, I felt like I was praying the whole time. It was all just so hopeful, inspirational and joyful. In such a time when there’s so much fear and having no idea what was around the corner or what the next month or week would bring. Getting to work on this music was peaceful to me.” Carrie livestreamed a concert featuring her new album from the historic Ryman auditorium in Nashville and raised over 68-thousand dollars for the charity ‘Save The Children’  if you’d like to see the livestream concert it’s available for free for the next 48 hours on Carrie Underwood’s Facebook page.

The Falcon and Winter Soldier Anthony Mackie And Sebastian Stan were on the Kelly Clarkson show and Sebastian shares something about Anthony, “ There’s a big, big soft side behind that mountain, and I’ve seen it…I’ve seen it.  sometimes it comes out.” Anthony wishes Sebastian wasn’t such a hermit…ah, the love…can’t ya just feel it….

And who knew!  There’s a new “Fresh Prince of Belair” in the works but Alfonso Ribeiro tells Hollywoodlife.com that HE has no plans to be a part of it.  Adding, it’s NOT a re-boot but a reimagining.  A completely different show with none of us really involved in it.

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
