The List for Thursday, February 25th 2021

Welcome to The List –

Luke Combs has a special message for his fans…What’s up guys Luke here, I just wanted to send a huge, mega huge shout out to country radio and to the fans. I just had my tenth number one as an artist which is incredibly hard to believe. ‘Better Together’ is a song that’s really near and dear to my life personally, and so, we all appreciate that our families appreciate you guys playing these songs and to the fans thank you so much again for loving what we do. I’m just looking forward to getting back to it.” Luke’s hit song “Better Together” topped the charts at number one last month.

Scotty McCreery And His Dog Take The “Polar Plunge” “What’s up ya’ll Scotty here, it is freezing here in North Carolina.  But, I am here to raise awareness and money for Special Olympics of North Carolina, we are going to plunge in place and I think Moose is going to join me.” Man, that sounds cold Scotty has started his own page to raise donations, with a goal of $10,000.  Special Olympics of North Carolina has currently raised more than $24,000 of its $200,000 goal.

Simon Cowell talks about the hardest part about coming home and explaining his injury to his son.  “I had these metal rods in my back and all these screws, and I said to Lauren, and he came in and I was lying in bed and he said went daddy you’re like Ironman, and I thought it was the sweetest thing.” He broke his back during an electric bike accident last year.

Kim Kardashian wasting NO time…the ink isn’t even dry on her divorce from Kanye West and Life & Style Weekly Magazine is claiming Kim Kardashian is already dating the magazine claims she is allegedly hooking up with an NFL star.

The List for Tuesday, December 16th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Sad news from the soap world. General Hospital icon Anthony Geary has passed away at age 78 due to complications from surgery in Amsterdam. Fans knew him forever as Luke Spencer, one of the most legendary characters daytime TV has ever seen. His longtime on-screen partner Genie Francis said, “No star burned brighter than Tony Geary,” adding that working with him was always unpredictable and exciting. A true original, and a massive loss for television history.

-----

Radar Online says Mariah Carey is allegedly stressed that her Christmas anthem All I Want For Christmas Is You might not dominate the charts this year. Apparently Gen Z is flirting with other holiday jams. An insider says this song is basically Mariah’s financial Super Bowl. If it underperforms, the brand wobbles. Somewhere, Mariah is warming up her whistle register and threatening December itself.

-----

Riley Green had a moment onstage when a fan tossed leopard-print granny panties at him mid-show. He kept singing like a pro while the internet absolutely did not. His tour crew has now started collecting bras, panties, and even hair extensions thrown on stage. Riley said they were going to donate the bras once he learned how expensive they are. Country concerts really are built different.

-----

Blake Shelton told People magazine that Gwen Stefani is the head chef at home, especially when it comes to Italian food. Blake says her lasagna takes all day to make, but he’d eat it for the rest of his life. Somewhere, an Oklahoma grill is quietly weeping, but love is love. And apparently love tastes like lasagna.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

Birdie 12/16/2025

OUR KIX CRITTER OF THE WEEK IS BIRDIE!!

Birdie is a sweet and resilient girl with a gentle soul and an inspiring story of strength. She was found at the Collison’s golf course, where it became clear she had recently given birth. Her kittens were safely found and brought in as well, and Birdie lovingly cared for them until they were old enough to be weaned.

When Birdie arrived, her walk seemed a bit off, she still walks with a bit of a wobble, likely due to lingering nerve issues, but she gets around just fine and continues to improve. She doesn’t require any ongoing medication or special care and lives comfortably just as she is.

Birdie is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV tested. She’s ready for her forever home — one where she can finally relax, be pampered, and enjoy life as the cherished companion she was always meant to be. She’s very affectionate, enjoys a calm environment, and while she can coexist with some other cats, she’d be perfectly content as your one and only.

If you're looking for a loving, low-maintenance cat with a big heart and a lot of love to give, Birdie is ready to meet you.
