The List for Friday, January 29th 2021

Welcome to The List –

It might surprise you to find out where Parmalee got their start.  Matt Thomas explains about their rehearsal spot…”We were fortunate to have a rehearsal facility…in the town of Parmalee North Carolina.  It was a barn, a brick barn that’s all it was.  So, we decided to drive out there every night and rehearse. We just spent years out there just trying to do what we do wright songs and start a tour regionally and here we are.”

Thomas Rhett Dishes On  his hit ‘What’s Your Country Song’,  The Song Titles and what he hopes the listener takes away from it … So, we picked a lot of songs that I feel like really shaped me as an artist, hopefully, when the listener’s listening, the more they listen to the song, I hope they can kind of go through and be like, ‘Oh my gosh, I love that song. I love that song.’ what were my songs that kind of defined my life? What songs did I hear on the radio, that when I hear them today as a 30-year-old or a 40 year old, it makes me feel 17 again?”

Is Gremlins coming back? Zachary Galligan best known for starring as Billy Peltzer in the comedy-horror films Gremlins and Gremlins 2: The New Batch. talks about the possibilities of there being a ‘Gremlins 3’. “Well, the answer to that question is we are probably closer to a Gremlin’s 3 now than we have been in decades.”  Warner brothers has decided to do a 10-part animated series later this year for HBO max called “Gremlins Secrets of the Mogwai” and hopes that will springboard into another live action movie.

Entertainment Tonight says an animated Game of Thrones series is in the works. It will be based on some of George RR Martin’s works. YAY something for the kids on a Saturday morning….

Entertainment Tonight, citing The Hollywood Reporter, says George Clooney has signed on to star in a reboot of the Buck Rogers TV series. He will wake up in the 25th century after being suspended in animation for 500 years. I never thought George Clooney would sign up for another TV series…

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, April 3rd 2026

Welcome to The List,

Taylor Swift’s wedding guest list is already causing drama, and we’re not even at the cake yet. Apparently, Kim Kardashian is a hard no after all that Kanye chaos. Sources say Taylor wants zero bad vibes on her big day. Which honestly makes sense, nobody wants awkward small talk at the open bar. Moral of the story, bring a gift… not baggage.

-----

Megan Moroney just proved pre-show routines don’t have to be all zen and candles. She says it’s loud, messy, and basically a backstage sleepover. Music blasting, friends everywhere, chaos level high. Because if it gets too serious, she starts overthinking everything. So yeah, sometimes the best prep is just controlled madness.

-----

Jo Dee Messina is leveling up her tour snacks. Gone are the soda and basic chicken, hello protein everything. We’re talking shakes, bars, Quest chips, hydration. And yes, still a glass of wine because balance matters. Fitness goals…

-----

Julia Roberts might be heading back to rom-com land, and fans are ready. She and Richard Gere have said no to Pretty Woman 2. But a fresh romantic comedy reunion is back on the table. Because sometimes you just need that classic chemistry again.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
