HBO is developing a reboot of there hit show ‘True Blood’. The Hollywood Reporter says HBO is developing a new version of the fantasy drama, which originally had a seven-season run from 2008 to 2014. True Blood is based on the The Southern Vampire Mysteries book series by Charlaine Harris, which follows Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress living in the fictional town of Bon Temps, La., who falls in love with a vampire. None of the show’s original cast is attached to the reboot, so, we’ll have to see how this plays out..

Chris Pratt is set to star and produce the upcoming comedy “The Black Belt.” The coming-of-age film will star Pratt as an eccentric uncle who trains his shy teenage nephew in the ways of karate. Kinda sounds like another Karate Kid…

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
