Central Iowa Health Care announced Tuesday that it was looking into a joint venture agreement with Mary Greeley Medical  Center based out of Ames and the LHP Hospital group based out of Plano Texas. If the idea becomes reality the entity would become a for-profit venture as opposed to its present status as that of a non-profit operation. The entities will enter a period of negotiations over a 90-day time frame with the intention of making a Letter of Intent reach fruition. The announcement was made at the Central Iowa Healthcare Outpatient Clinic at Marshalltown, and also at the Tuesday weekly meeting of the Rotary Club of Marshalltown at the Elmwood Country Club. The downtown hospital facility and also the outpatient clinic have had financial struggles of late.
