The List for Friday May 8th 2020

With Mothers Day this Sunday country star Tyler Farr always has a hard time getting a Mother’s Day gift … “I always never know what to get for my mom because I’ve never been good shoppin’ for women, so I usually just…you know, try to stick with somethin’ that you know they like, and flowers…you always win with flowers. You can’t go wrong.”

Thomas Rhett credits mom for his good morals… “My mom’s a saint. She’s a very, very sweet lady. So, you know, growing up, mom was one of the main people that always took me to football practice, or whenever I had a play, she’d always take me. Mom really made sure that I had my head on straight and was always getting me involved in the youth group. Mom just instilled a lot of good morals into me, just the way that we view life and the way that we love people. So, she really rubbed off on me in that aspect. She’s one of my biggest fans”

Jason Aldean’s beach-side Florida home is among the large swath of houses threatened by wildfires in the state’s panhandle region. The country star’s wife, Brittany, updated fans on the situation in her Instagram Stories on Wednesday night, offering assurances that, though the family had to evacuate, they are all safe. Thousands of people across the Florida panhandle have had to evacuate their homes since the order was first issued this week.

Someone that’s NOT to upset with being in quarantine is Shaquille O’Neal he’s gotten a dad bod and he’s pretty proud of it… O’Neal gives his Dad Bod a seven out of ten. He is enjoying all of his days off.

Kelly Clarkson tells Seth Meyers on his show that she and Blake Shelton had issues during this past Tuesday’s ‘The Voice.’ Kelly is in Montana while Blake is in Oklahoma. They are so far off the grid that it’s causing issues when they film ‘The Voice.’ Kelly’s time in quarantine has been chaotic. She’s working and dealing with a house full of children. She asked to be left alone for her birthday.

Conan O’Brian says the quarantine is taking a toll and making his brain a little fuzzy…He wore a tie on the show just so he can feel like he’s still ALIVE!! now if we could just get him to wear pants…

You can catch The List weekdays at 2:20 and 4:20 on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Friday, March 27th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Carrie Underwood says her boys can sing, but she is not handing out tiny little record deals just because Mom can hit a note. Her oldest is already a mini-Carrie, super into music, but she says the music business can wait until he is older and knows who he is. One minute Mom is on stage in sequins, next minute she is making dinner like nothing happened. Country queen by night, casserole ninja by six.

-----

Morgan Wallen says he is done hiding behind excuses, and that might be the most grown-up sentence he has ever said out loud. He told CMT that back then, there was always something to blame when things went sideways. Now he says if he messes up, it is on him. Accountability..

-----

Netflix just raised prices again, and at this point your streaming bill is starting to look like a car payment. The ad plan is now $8.99, standard is $19.99, and premium jumps to $26.99. Remember when cutting the cord was supposed to save money? Now we are all just paying cable prices with extra steps. Congrats, we played ourselves.

-----

The iHeartRadio Music Awards wrapped up last night, and if you are guessing who won everything, go ahead and say it with me. Taylor Swift. Again. Save everybody a few hours. Show up, wave, collect hardware, repeat.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
