Three are dead and two injured after a crash yesterday afternoon on I-80 near Coralville. Two of the dead are children.

A car headed westbound crossed over the inside lane to turn at a “no turnaround” crossover and was hit by a semi.

An 11-year-old, a 13-year-old were killed, along with one other occupant of the car. Two others in the car were taken to University Hospitals.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

Names of the victims have not yet been released.
