A ribbon cutting led by Governor Kim Reynolds helped dedicate the expansion at the Barilla Plant in Ames yesterday.

The Ames Tribune says the expansion will be completed next month. The company says the expansion makes the Ames facility the second largest in the Barilla Group.

The expansion allows Barilla to add 41 new positions to the current team of 214 employees. About half of those have been filled and they hope to have full capacity by early 2021.
