A Wellsburg man was arrested over the weekend after an encounter with police.

Jeffrey Strong was taken into custody at his residence and charged with two felonies; going armed with intent and assault on a peace officer.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office says Strong was released after posting a ten thousand dollar bond.
