When you think of a block party, you think of some neighbors within a block or two of one another getting together for some food and conversation.

The churches of Marshalltown are taking that one step further. They are holding a Labor Day Block Party for anyone affected by the tornado tomorrow night from 5:30 to 7:30 at First Presbyterian Church.

Pulled pork, salad and baked beans will be served, along with drinks and desserts. Folks are asked to park in the City lot north of Church Street.
