While parts of Iowa flooded by June rains received word that a Presidential Proclamation for assistance has been approved, Marshalltown remains in a hurry-up-and-wait mode regarding the state’s request for similar assistance from the President.
In the meantime, Marshalltown Mayor Joel Greer says he is very much aware of the plight of folks who lost so much on the northeast side of town.
First District Congressman Rod Blum was in Marshalltown yesterday, meeting with folks to get an update on the long term recovery status.
