Law enforcement officials in the Newton area have some tips for those coming to the races this weekend: for those traveling north or south according to the Newton Police Department take Iowa Highway 14 to Interstate 80 and get off at exit 168 and follow the traffic directions. The County Road T-12 bridge is under construction all summer and motorists need to avoid that area. Fans are urged to arrive early. There is a race truck event Friday night and an Xfinity series race Saturday night. The green flag drops at 7:30 each night.
