Marshalltown School Board learned Monday that one point three million dollars was trimmed or value engineered out of the Roundhouse Phase 2 project with a re-bid to take place next month. School Superintendent Dr. Theron Schutte says it is hoped this development would put the project back in line with a budget that is hoped for. If all were to go well the school board could take action in August. A targeted completion date of late October of 2018.
A group of teachers, tutors and students gave a report to the School Board. Lynn Jenson of Emerson says a partnership with Lenihan Intermediate School has gone very well. Math tutoring has been the focus. A large group made the presentation.
