The Community Y’s and the Horne Henry Center will be host to the Boys State Swim meet on Saturday with the meet beginning at 12 noon. Y spokeswoman Shelly Lechnir says a lot of people will be the city for the event with athletes from all over the state of Iowa on hand. Marshalltown also hosts the Girls State Swim meet which is contested in November.
