The Marshalltown Arts and Culture Alliance announced in partnership with the City of Marshalltown and the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce, the Apgar Water Plaza will have their grand opening on Saturday, June 6th. It will start at 10am with a grand ceremony and the official opening to the public will start at 11am.
Located next to Mega 10 Park, the Apgar Family Water Plaza has been thoughtfully designed with Iowa artist, Hilde DeBruyne, as a vibrant, family friendly destination and will serve as a central gathering place for residents and visitors alike.
Tom Apgar said in the press release, “The opening of the Apgar Family Water Plaza is perfect timing. School’s out, summertime outdoor activities are all around, and it will be so exciting to see this award-winning design come to life—welcoming residents and visitors for generations to come.”
The plan is to have food trucks to arrive at Mega 10 park around 11:30.
