Earlier this week, Marshalltown Public Works Director Heather Thomas gave an update to the downtown construction. Throughout this project crews are finding vaults underneath the road or sidewalk. This week, crews filled in an area for a vault near the County Annex Building.
The vaults would be in the right-of-way so the materials could be lowered into the basement to keep heating the building and operating their business.
Thomas said in her downtown update that they are targeting a May 27th opening for the Main St. and 1st Ave. intersection.
