Country music just lost one of its true outlaws. David Allan Coe has passed away at 86. From “The Ride” to writing “Take This Job and Shove It,” his impact ran deep. A complicated legacy, no doubt, but a major piece of country music history. He was called a musical treasure, and fans never forgot him.

Carrie Underwood says she’s living two totally different lives. On American Idol, she’s Cinderella at the ball. Then she goes home to the farm and suddenly it’s dirt, poop, barefoot kitchen duty, and livestock drama. Honestly, that’s not a double life. That’s just country music with better lighting.

Ving Rhames gave everyone a scare after collapsing at a Los Angeles restaurant. The fire department took the Mission: Impossible star to the hospital. His rep says he overheated and is stable. So yes, even action movie legends need hydration. Somebody get that man a Gatorade and a chair.

General Hospital is still the longest-running scripted show, with 63 seasons and counting. And the longest-running non-soap is Sesame Street, at 56 seasons. Which means Big Bird has more job security than most adults. Honestly, Elmo’s retirement plan is probably better than ours. Sunny days, sweepin’ the clouds, and cashing checks.

Charlize Theron just laid down the ultimate parenting reality check. She says her daughters will earn their own money, no shortcuts. And their first cars? Old-school Datsuns, because crashes are coming. Which is bold, considering Datsun hasn’t been a thing in years. Nothing builds character like a car you can’t Google.

Tucker Wetmore just had a full “main character” moment overseas. He wins New Male Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards. Then, his mom walks onstage in London with the trophy. Thomas Rhett pops up on video like it’s a country music Avengers scene. Nothing says you made it like mom showing up internationally.

Somewhere out there, confidence is doing a little too much. A woman says she’s marrying Riley Green, no doubts at all. Claims they met on Facebook and even talked on the phone. Yeah… so has half the internet and a guy named “Steve.” Love is blind, but this one might need Wi-Fi verification.
