Warm weather always brings out the lawn mowers. Marshalltown Police Chief Chris Jones reminds homeowners that grass clippings cannot be on the roads.
The grass clippings can cause riders to feel like they are driving over ice and can cause them to crash. Chief Jones says his officers will respond to this issue
People can bag their grass clippings and take them to the Marshalltown compost facility which is open Fridays 10am – 6pm, Saturdays 9am – 4pm or Sundays 12 (noon) – 4pm. The Compost Facility is located at 900 Woodland Street
