Iowa Commandant, Todd Jacobus, has taken the call to be deployed multiple times.  He understands what it means to be called overseas and defend America.

There are still many soldiers from Iowa who recently took that call to action and are overseas.  Commandant Jacobus says it depends on the purpose of the deployment but life can vary overseas.  Some soldiers are in tents and barracks while others are in air-conditioned office buildings.

Multiple Iowa soldiers have been killed or wounded due to the current conflict with Iran.
