Announced in a press release yesterday, Wade Dooley the 6th Generation Farmer from Albion is ending his campaign for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. Dooley cites the all-consuming nature of a statewide race and he said he needs to put his family first, especially with the impending birth of their first child.
Dooley said in the release, “The amount of time, staff and money that it takes is truly daunting. And at this point in our lives, all of that is too much.” He then thanked the volunteers across the state who helped his team collect 3,900 signatures from 89 counties. That would have allowed him to be on the ballot for Secretary of Agriculture.
