This is the final two weeks of the Military Banners with the Marshalltown Central Business District. The banners on Main Street and 13th Street honor local veterans or those who have a tie to Marshalltown and Marshall County.
That is Executive Director of the MCBD, Danielle Lekin. She says people can also sponsor a banner if you do not have a veteran in your life.
The total cost for a Military Banner is $250, they will be on display from May through November of this year. The total number of banners is 112 and they are first come first serve, the deadline to apply is March 15th.
