Property Tax has been a big topic of conversation down in the Capital City during this legislative session.  Iowa House Representative Brett Barker feels that property tax truly is a local issue.

Barker wants people to understand how their money is spent and who are the people they can talk to about their money.

He says the House, Senate, and Governor wanted to get their property tax ideas out early so people had time to comment and give their opinions to legislators.

The legislature will discuss Property Tax more this session and hopefully come to a final idea to get across the finish line.
