The Marshalltown Area United Way announced yesterday that they raised $855,185 in their 2025 campaign, which is about 95% of their $900,000 goal.

Co-Chair of the campaign, Maria Gonzalez-Alvarez said in the release, “The campaign ended at 11:59 p.m. on January 6 at exactly 95% of our goal, and that reflects incredible generosity. Your contributions directly strengthen essential services and benefit families across our community. Thank you to all who donated and participated. Your partnership truly makes a difference.”

All of the funds raised will go to support 30 programs focused on youth opportunity, healthy communities, financial stability, and community resiliency.

Executive Director Kendra Sorensen said in the release, “I extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who believed in and supported our work during a season marked by economic uncertainty. Your generosity and commitment have made it possible to continue serving and strengthening communities across Marshall County when it was needed most.”
