The List for Wednesday, October 15th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Disney just dropped a hundred million dollars yes, million for Taylor Swift’s new Eras Tour documentaries. Netflix and Amazon tried to throw their wallets at her too, but Disney won the bidding war by giving her total creative control and ownership. They didn’t just buy a concert film — they bought a piece of history. Taylor’s not just a singer anymore… she’s a full-blown empire, and Disney just paid the toll to enter the kingdom.

Yesterday we told you about Reid Perry from The Band Perry well, that’s officially the end of the band as we knew it. Reid just quit, leaving big sis Kimberly Perry and her boyfriend Johnny Costello as the only two left standing. The original trio was Kimberly, Reid, and their younger brother Neil who was already replaced by Johnny earlier this year. So now, it’s basically “The Band Kim and Johnny.” Doesn’t quite roll off the tongue, does it?

Here we go again Super Bowl halftime drama! Fans are furious that Bad Bunny’s headlining this year and want him replaced with George Strait. There’s even a petition with over 4,500 signatures saying the show should “honor American culture.” Meanwhile, Bad Bunny’s like, “You’ve got four months to learn Spanish.” Yeah, no..not going to do that…

Eric Church is taking country to the big screen with his new IMAX concert film, Evangeline vs. The Machine. It’s him, a full band, a horn section, and a choir because subtlety’s overrated. It hits theaters February 13th, 2026, just in time for Valentine’s weekend. Nothing says romance like surround sound, whiskey, and Eric Church belting “Springsteen” so loud your popcorn starts vibrating.

The List for Friday, March 20th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Hollywood lost a true action legend today. Chuck Norris, the martial arts star and longtime “Walker, Texas Ranger” icon, has died at age 86, according to statements from his family.  Beyond the screen, his larger-than-life reputation exploded online through viral “Chuck Norris facts,” turning him into one of pop culture’s most enduring memes.

-----

Arnold is back forging steel abs in Venice - Schwarzenegger is grinding at the legendary Gold’s Gym again, training for a Conan sequel. He wants real muscles on screen, even if Hollywood quietly sprinkles in some CGI seasoning.

-----

Luke Combs battled wings like a true warrior - Luke became the first country star on Hot Ones, turkey calling between bites and comparing spicy wings to a home invasion. Nashville just found a new extreme sport.

-----

Lainey, Riley, and Cody bringing stadium energy - The ACM Awards are heading to Vegas, and this trio is set to light up the MGM Grand stage. Rhinestones, roar, and probably at least one cowboy hat thrown in victory.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
