The List for Thursday, October 2nd 2025

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs New Music

Well, Luke Combs just gave us the gift of hope for 2026 and some new tunes this Friday. He announced on X that three songs from his upcoming album are ready now, calling it The Prequel. We’re talking “Days Like These,” “15 Minutes,” and “My Kinda Saturday Night.” Bonus next year’s tour is named after that last one. So get ready: new music, new tour, new excuses to call in sick. Luke’s keeping us busy.

Nicole Kidman, Blake Shelton & Keith Urban Drama

Nicole Kidman’s friendship group is apparently convinced Blake Shelton knew about Keith Urban’s alleged cheating. Nicole says no one gave her a hint ..not Blake, no one… and now she’s seeing all the “signs” in hindsight. Oh, and the plot thickens: her prenup might cost her millions, with a clause paying Keith $600k per year they were together. So yes… heartbreak, betrayal, and a budget crisis all rolled into one Hollywood breakup.

Country Music & the Super Bowl

Twenty-two years without country at the Super Bowl halftime show. That’s how long it’s been since Shania Twain strutted onto the stage in thigh-high boots, blasting “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” and “Up!” with No Doubt and Sting backing her up. Since then? Silence. Nada. Country’s been ghosted from the biggest stage in America. Fans have been waiting, praying, and probably writing petitions. Twenty-two years later the drought is real.

In the trailer for Season 7 of “The Kardashians”, Kim says investigators told her that someone “extremely close” put out a hit on her life.  There’s no word who did it . . . if it’s true . . . but people are thinking Kanye…Rating are that bad huh?

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
