According to Marshalltown Water Works there is no indication that the drinking water in Marshalltown is the cause of Legionnaire’s Disease spreading. Zach Maxfield joined the KFJB line yesterday morning to discuss their findings.
Maxfield spoke at the Marshalltown City Council meeting last night and confirmed again that their tests show it is not coming from the drinking water and your tap water in Marshalltown in safe to drink.
At 3pm every day the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services will put out an update on their website. According to yesterday’s update 30 people are confirmed to have contracted Legionnaire’s Disease. Updates will be given daily until there is 28 consecutive days with no cases.
