The List for Friday, May 30th 2025

Welcome to The List,

If you want to impress Amy Poehler DON’T do dumb stuff…She says nothing dries up her interest faster than a dude doing “goofy gymnastics.” She realized it during The Outsiders when Tom Cruise did a backflip and—boom—crush over. Her quote? “He lost it for me.” And somehow… the world kept spinning… and Tom still made a billion dollars jumping off cliffs…

The National Amusement Park Historical Association just crowned Dollywood America’s Favorite Theme Park for the third year in a row. That’s right—while Disney’s sweating over lines and price hikes, Dolly’s out here serving roller coasters, biscuits, and Southern charm like a queen.

—–

Terry Bradshaw wants Aaron Rodgers nowhere near the Steelers. His exact words? “That guy needs to stay in California. Go chew on bark and whisper to the gods.” Sir. That is not a sports take—that’s a National Geographic diss. Somewhere, Aaron just lit a sage stick and cried…

——

Tim McGraw is healing up after double knee replacements, two back surgeries, and a tour where his whole body went full “Nope.” Don’t forget the partridge in a pear tree….He said it best: “My knees went out, my back went cattywampus,” and I swear that’s not a country song lyric… yet. Somebody get this man a recliner, a heating pad, and a Grammy for touring like RoboDad.

You can catch The List, weekday afternoon at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
