The List for Wednesday, May 21st 2025

Welcome to The List,

George Wendt, the beloved actor known for playing Norm Peterson on Cheers, has passed away at the age of 76. Wendt’s publicist confirmed the news, stating that he died peacefully in his sleep at home. Fans of the TV show ‘’Cheers’’ descended upon the Bull and Finch Pub in Boston yesterday to honor George.  The sitcom was based on the pub. Fans drank a beer in honor of George’s character Norm.

Jennifer Lopez is getting sued by paparazzi… for posting photos of herself. That’s right—J.Lo threw some pics on Instagram from a Golden Globes pre-party, and now a photo agency is crying, “Copyright!” They claim she used the pics for self-promo without permission. Her team? Silent so far. So remember, folks: If you’re famous, you can be sued for using your own face. Cool world.

Jelly Roll is out here living all our wildest dreams—because he just brought out Eminem in Detroit! It happened during Post Malone’s Big [Butt] World Tour. Jelly was hyping the crowd with “Lose Yourself,” and BOOM—Slim Shady pops out from behind the curtain. Crowd lost their minds, Jelly lost his mind, and called it the best night of his life.

Morgan Wallen might’ve thrown some country boy shade with his new track “I’m a Little Crazy.” The lyric? “I’m a coyote in a field of wolves.” Ooooh. When asked, Morgan didn’t hold back: “I know I wasn’t invited, but I’m still eatin’ and I’m still fed.” Translation: Keep your awards—I’ve got fans, money, and a mic.

The List for Thursday, February 5th 2026

Welcome to The List,

Rumors are flying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have allegedly set a wedding date. A so-called source says the planning is “military-level precise,” which tracks, because Taylor hates surprises and Travis runs NFL playbooks for a living. Pop music, professional football, and Hollywood elite all in one room. Locked down, protected, unforgettable. Basically the most intense group project ever attempted.

-----

Former Bachelor host Chris Harrison is launching a new dating show for people who want a “traditional, marriage-minded partnership built on commitment and shared values.” Which apparently is now considered edgy programming. Somewhere, reality TV just gasped. This is not roses and drama. This is compatibility and emotional maturity.

-----

Before Luke Combs made it big, he had $200 left in his bank account. That money went toward mastering one song, “Hurricane.” He releases it, sells about 10,000 copies the first week, and uses the cash to finish the rest of the album. Then pitches it to labels. And that, kids, is how you bet on yourself and win.

-----

Toby Keith, Kenny Rogers, and Ed Harris are being inducted into the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. The ceremony happens in April in Oklahoma City. They’re joining legends like George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Kurt Russell, and Burt Reynolds. That is a hall with serious swagger. Cowboy hats optional. Legends required.

Catch The List, with Jonathan Knight weekday afternoon at 4:20. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
