Leila 2/4/25

Our KIX Critter of week is Leila!!

Leila is a sweet and playful cat who loves to spend her time chasing her favorite mice toys and snuggling up in her cozy bed. She enjoys having space to roam around and explore, but her favorite moments are when she gets some chin scratches – they’re sure to make her purr! While she’s not too fond of being picked up, Leila is a friendly, affectionate girl who loves attention and will happily hang out with you once she feels comfortable.

Leila is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, FeLV/FIV tested, and microchipped for her safety.

If you’re looking for a playful, easygoing companion who enjoys both playtime and quiet snuggles, Leila could be the perfect fit for your home. Come meet her today!

The List for Tuesday, August 19th 2025

Welcome to The List,

Luke Combs says Garth Brooks just casually bought him a Ford Bronco Raptor… for singing ONE song at the Songwriters Hall of Fame. ONE! Luke thought his manager was giving him his own car, but nope “Surprise, it’s from Garth.” Meanwhile, I can’t even get my neighbor to loan me his lawnmower without leaving a $20 security deposit.

-----

So apparently Travis Kelce regrets partying with Taylor Swift after losing the Super Bowl last year. Sources say all that spotlight and distraction messed with his focus and now he’s laser-focused on getting that edge back. Basically he realized you can’t win rings if you’re too busy making friendship bracelets with the Swifties.

-----

Big win in Texas this weekend the “Band Together Texas” benefit concert raised over 8.5 MILLION dollars for flood relief. Huge! And the moment everyone’s talking about? Cody Johnson belting out “How Great Thou Art.” Goosebumps, tears, and probably a few folks suddenly calling their mama.

-----

Remember Mama June? Yeah, she’s trending again, but not for anything good. She’s bragging online that she never tips more than 5% on DoorDash or Instacart. FIVE percent. She said she paid $176, gave the driver five percent, then complained about a $60 “convenience fee.” First off, drivers aren’t showing up to your house for a slice of pizza crust and a pat on the back, Mama!

You can catch The List, weekday afternoons at 4:20 with Jonathan Knight. Only on Iowa’s BEST Country KIX 101.1
