Pack The Backpack: Ms. Anderson

This weeks winner is Stella Anderson – 3rd Grade Teacher at Davis Elementary School in Grinnell

Ms. Anderson deserves this because she consistently goes above and beyond for all of her students. Ms. Anderson has been teaching for a very long time and does not let that slow her down or change her attitude. In fact, she was my 2nd grade teacher (24 years ago), my sons 3rd grade teacher (4 years ago) and now she is currently my daughter’s 3rd grade teacher. In Grinnell, K-2nd grade is at a different school than 3rd-4th grade. Our daughter is the baby of our family. She also recently needed an EIP. So, her switching schools and going from a teacher we LOVED, made us very nervous. But once we found out that Ms. Anderson would be Addisons teacher, all our worries were gone. She is WONDERFUL when it comes to her students. She always makes sure they are okay at school and outside of school. She cares about their feelings and how their day is going. She personally has called me to make sure of after school plans for our kids. She just overall CARES about her students. I wouldn’t want my children to have had a different 3rd grade teacher!

In Theaters this weekend: ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’

Avatar: Fire and Ash picks up after The Way of Water and dives into darker territory, introducing a more aggressive Na’vi tribe tied to fire and volcanic regions. It cranks up the conflict, explores moral gray areas, and shows Pandora is a lot less peaceful than we thought.
