The Annual Great Tractor Ride at the Marshalltown Mall will be held on Saturday, August 27 with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. Vintage tractors will leave the mall at 10:00 a.m. and tour Marshalltown returning in time for lunch and display later at noon. The area pork producers will provide a pork burger luncheon with proceeds to benefit the fall fundraising campaign of the United Way. During the ride the tractors will go to many areas where they want to make sure residents can see the vintage tractors, including the area of the Iowa Veterans Home. Todd Collins of KIX 101.1 will lead the parade on his own vintage Oliver tractor . Also involved will be the Marshalltown Police Department`s vintage 1966 police automobile that resembles something out of an old episode of the Andy Griffith Show.
