Tomorrow is the day the Mail Carriers are doing their annual food drive in Marshalltown. People can easily participate by setting out non-perishable food near the mailbox before your mail arrives tomorrow.
That is local City Carrier, Marie Crawford. She says this is the 34th year the USPS is participating in the food drive in Marshalltown. She says all of the food collected will be split between the Emergency Food Box and the Salvation Army.
She says the city carriers enjoy this day as it is an easy way their station can help the community and give back. She says normally they enjoy seeing the truck empty out throughout their route, but tomorrow they want a full truck of food when they return.
